15th Annual Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness

The Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness is a multi-distance event held in Tigard, near Portland, Oregon. The race is hosted at Cook Park and features a course that traverses open green spaces and forested paths running alongside the Tualatin River. The physical event is designed to be stroller-friendly.

Participants can choose from a wide variety of distances and formats:

All finishers in the 5K and 10K categories receive a shirt, a medal, and a race packet. Virtual participants also receive a race bib, shirt, and medal. The event includes a staggered start with the line remaining open for 15 minutes to manage participant space.

The event serves to support the Ladybug CDH Foundation. The organization focuses on raising public awareness for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), funding medical research, and supporting families in the Pacific Northwest. A 100 mile ultramarathon at Stub Stewart State Park with over 7,000 feet of gain across asphalt, gravel, and dirt trails, plus a new two-person Royal Ultra Relay division that allows one supporting squire.

A looped trail race at L.L. Stewart State Park on April 5, 2026 offering one to four laps on a 6.5 mile course. Runners may decide during the event which distance to finish and awards go to top finishers of each distance.

An evening trail race series in Forest Park, Portland held in spring, summer and fall. Each five-race Series features marked hilly courses of about 4 to 7 miles, Series standings for regular participants, and a post-series awards party.

Experience a scenic 5k through Portland’s Mt. Tabor Park featuring varied terrain and trails. This dog friendly community event supports local student scholarships and athletic facilities.
