Kentucky Cryptid Series - Mothman

The Kentucky Cryptid Series - Mothman takes place in Louisville, Kentucky from June 14 to June 28, 2026. The event is the second race in a series of trail runs through Louisville parks and uses trails inside Waverly Park. The Start/Finish area is located near the playground and the course winds through park trails.

Distances in the series include:

  • 6 mile Virtual Mothman 6 Miler
  • Half marathon Mothman Half Marathon

The event is family and beginner friendly and offers both in-person and virtual options. Packet pick up is on site near the pavilion before the race. Each race has awards for overall Male, Female, and Non-Binary winners. Participants who finish three of the four races in the series, either in person or virtually, receive a Cryptid Series Survivor medal and shirt. Event shirts are an optional add-on and a limited number will be available for purchase on race day.

Organizers note the event is CUPLESS; participants should bring a water bottle, hydration pack, or cup. Bottled water will be available in limited supply and water plus prepackaged snacks will be offered after the race. Parking at Waverly Park is limited and carpooling is encouraged. The Louisville Lovin' The Hills will take place in Fairdale on Saturday 7 February 2026. You can run between 6 and 50 kilometers.
