The Starting Block Running and Walking Gear presents the Kal Park Cross Country Races on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, Jade and Juniper Beach parking lot, Coldstream, BC, Canada. The event includes the following distances:

Course and logistics
The 9K course follows single-track switchbacks that descend toward Cosen's Bay beach, cross a rolling grassland meadow, climb and pass Rattle Snake Hill, continue onto the "Comin' Round the Mountain" trail, and return to the start/finish at the Jade/Juniper beach parking area. The event is cupless and there will be no water stations; participants must carry their own water. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
The 2.5K run is for adults and children. Outdoor washrooms are available at the race start and medical support will be on site. Hot chocolate, coffee and snacks will be offered at the finish; participants are asked to bring their own mugs. Age group awards and draw prizes follow the race. Costume prizes are available. Draws for 9K entrants include a pair of New Balance shoes and an entry to the Larry Nicholas trail race; winners must be present to claim prizes.
Registration is online only. Entry fees: CA$25 for the 9K (CA$20 for Competitive BC Athletics members) and CA$10 for the 2.5K. Registration closes October 25, 2025.
