Kahnawake’s Backyard Ultra - The Meltdown

The event is scheduled for July 18, 2026 at Kahnawake Marina. This is the second edition of the Kahnawake Backyard Ultra. The format requires runners to complete a 6.7 km loop every hour; the event follows a last-runner-standing structure and a cash prize is awarded to the winner.

Funds raised from the event will be donated to Tetewatatia’takéhnhahs / Purple Ribbon Walk and used to offset organization fees. On race day, check-in and bib pick-up are available and crews may set up support stations. A live DJ will provide on-site music during the event.

Participants and crews are expected to bring their own tents, chairs, coolers and personal food for breaks between loops. A basic aid station will supply water and essential support items. Runners planning to continue into evening or overnight hours are advised to carry a headlamp for visibility and safety.

The description focuses on the race format, on-site services, and the allocation of funds. Contact details and registration instructions are not included here. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
