Joshua Tree Half Marathon
The Joshua Tree Half Marathon is a nighttime half marathon held on November 7, 2026, near Joshua Tree National Park and Copper Mountain. The 13.1 mile course runs through Mojave Desert terrain under the stars and along sections of dirt roads and trails.
The route includes varying footing with stretches of loose and deep sand; it is mostly runnable but requires attention to footing. The course is marked and aid stations provide water and electrolyte drink, but the event is cup free so runners should bring a reusable water bottle, a collapsible cup, or a hydration pack. A headlamp is required for all participants and reflective gear is recommended for safety. Runners are responsible for following course markings, keeping left with traffic where directed, and remaining on course to avoid disqualification.
Expo and bib pickup are at RESET Hotel, which also serves as the start and finish area. Parking is provided at designated lots and spectators may gather near the finish, but driving along the course is prohibited for safety. Place medals are awarded to top finishers in overall and masters categories, top age group finishers receive place medals, and all finishers receive a finisher medal. Race photos are taken on course and are available after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
