John Bryan Arboretum Trail Half Marathon & Challenge

This event takes place at John Bryan State Park Arboretum in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The course is a 1.1 mile loop; participants choose a distance by completing multiple loops of the same circuit.

Distances include:

  • 1.1 Mile Fun Loop : single loop for walkers and families
  • 3.3 Miles : 3 loops of the 1.1 mile course
  • 6.6 Miles : 6 loops of the 1.1 mile course
  • 9.9 Miles : 9 loops of the 1.1 mile course
  • Half Marathon : 12 loops of the 1.1 mile course

Support and on-course features are provided at each loop. Water and an aid station are available every 1.1 miles. Park restroom facilities are on-site. The loop format provides repeated access to support stations and facilities throughout the event. The course is marked as a clear, easy to follow route and the layout creates a consistent, controlled environment for all participants. A Trail Sisters approved summer trail ultra at Caesar Creek State Park offering 50 mile and 50k counterclockwise loops, cupless aid stations with food options, and 14.5 hour cutoffs. Expect single-track rollers and two manned aid stations.

Stars and Strides Race on July 18, 2026 at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, OH offers trail races over four distances from 1.55 miles to 15K, with entry fees listed per distance, race shirts for early registrants, and finisher medals.

A timed 5K at Patricia Allyn Park on July 19, 2026, with online and day of registration. Current ORRRC members run free; non members 15 and up pay $10.

Trail races at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn offer 1.55 mile, 5K, 10K and 15K distances over limestone cliffs and wooded trails. Overall winners receive awards and all finishers get a medal.
