Jerome Hill Climb 2026
The Jerome Hill Climb is a road and dirt course that begins at the Jerome Historical Museum, travels through Jerome streets, continues on a dirt road past the Gold King Mine, and finishes at a viewpoint with views of Sedona. The event distance for listed categories is 4.5 miles.
All participants pass two on-course aid stations that provide water. At the finish line, water and snacks are available for pickup. Runners are advised to be as self-sufficient as possible during the event. The race uses a traditional bib pull timing system and records times based on the starting gun.
Registration details vary by category. Adult entries include a unisex 50/50 t-shirt with registration. Youth and young adult ARR members may purchase shirts for a fee. Vintage shirts from previous years are available for sale for a cash or Venmo payment. A signed county waiver is required for all participants. Mail-in registration must be received by August 31.
Parking is limited in Jerome. The main parking area is past the fire department building; the start line is about one mile downhill from the registration area. There is no parking or drop off at the start line. Spectators are not permitted to drive on the course because the dirt road is narrow and dusty.
