Event details

The JAIMIE COX MEMORIAL RUN is scheduled for October 17, 2026 in Roscoe, Illinois at 6121 Elevator Road. This is the ninth running of the event. The race program includes the following distances:

  • 5K
  • 2-mile walk

There are additional event options: Kids Registration (12 and under - youth t-shirt only), open to ages 1 to 13, and a Virtual Supporter entry. Registration opens on June 1, 2026. Listed entry fees are $30 for the 5K or 2-mile walk participant, $15 for the kids registration, and $30 for the virtual supporter. Organizers publish a recurring donation to the Rockton Police Association's Jaimie Cox Memorial Scholarship.

Course and logistics

The on-site start location is Roscoe Middle School (RMS). The route proceeds west to the Stone Bridge Trail, then turns south along a crushed limestone path to a halfway point, where participants return to RMS. The course uses a variety of surfaces, including gravel. Course maps and a parking map are provided by the organizers. Sponsors are listed for the event. Frontline OCR at Byron Motosports Park on May 23, 2026 offers 10K and 5K obstacle courses, a ruck division, a kids mile, Special Forces and Heroes waves, plus team entry packs, organized by a 501(c)(3) foundation.

This cross country run on July 4th in Williams Bay offers a 5K on grass trails through the Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy. A kids' quarter-mile event is also available. Registration is online only, with awards for top age-group finishers.

A trail 5K at Byron Forest Preserve with chip timing and awards by age group, plus a 1 mile Fun Run with a participation medal. Parking and indoor restrooms are available onsite.

Tough Mudder Chicago on August 29, 2026 at Rockford International Airport offers 5K, 15K and an eight hour Infinity format across fields, trails and creek crossings, with Mudder Village, finisher items, and group and volunteer options.
