The Isle of Wight Fell Race Series 2026 takes place on 12 and 13 September 2026 in Ventnor, Isle of Wight. The series is the Isle of Wight Fell Running Championship Series and incorporates the SEAA Fell Running Championships. The event organiser is Ryde Harriers. Entries open 22 October 2025 and close 7 September 2026. Entry fees for seniors are £10 per race or £25 for the series. Junior entry for the St Boniface Fell is £8.

Races, eligibility and venue

Races are based at St Catherine’s School, Grove Road, Ventnor, PO38 1TT. The school serves as race headquarters; toilets are available but there are no showers. Race numbers are issued at registration at the race headquarters on each day. To qualify for the SEAA Championship competitors must pre-enter, be a first-claim member of an SEAA club affiliated for fell running or be an individual FRA member born in, or resident for nine months in, the SEAA area, and complete all three races.

  • Race 1 - St Boniface Fell: 3.8 km, 235 m ascent (AS)
  • Race 2 - Ventnor Horseshoe: 12 km, 443 m ascent (BM)
  • Race 3 - Wroxall Round: 21 km, 487 m ascent (CL)

Witterings Beach Run at West Wittering showcases sandy flats and stunning sea views from Selsey Bill to the Isle of Wight. 5 km, 10 km and 15 km routes plus canicross make it ideal for runners and dogs. Event sold out.

Night orienteering in Brockenhurst: a 60 minute score event in the New Forest. Visit as many controls as you can for points using SIAC timing and waterproof maps, and bring high visibility clothing and lights for after dark navigation.

Explore the New Forest with Wessex Orienteering from Bolderwood Car Park, tackling technical woodland courses from a challenging Blue to a 60 minute Score challenge. Entry and parking are limited so book early and car share if you can.

Run the New Forest Xmas Trails in New Forest National Park on runnable but testing single lap routes through heathland and woodland from Holmesly Campsite, Bransgore. Choose 15km, 30km, marathon or 50km and plant a tree instead of a medal.
