Isle Of Wight Fell Series

The Isle Of Wight Fell Series is a set of three fell races organised by Ryde Harriers in association with Ventnor Fell Running Association. The series is run under Fell Runners Association rules and incorporates the SEAA Fell Running Championships. Competitors must pre-enter the SEAA Championship by the closing date and must complete all three races to qualify for championship scoring.

Entry fees are stated as £10 per race, £25 for the full series, and £8 for under 20s in Race 1. The event has an overall entry limit of 400. Online entry is required to qualify for the SEAA Fell Running Championships; on-the-day entries may be available for cash only, subject to sell out. No withdrawals or transfers are permitted after the closing date.

The event headquarters is at St Catherine’s School, Grove Road, Ventnor, PO38 1TT. There are changing facilities with showers and the finish enters the school playing fields. Parking at the venue is very limited; nearby on street parking is available.

Safety and equipment rules include a prohibition on in-ear or over ear headphones, although bone conduction headphones are allowed. GPS devices may not be used for navigation but are acceptable as a safety backup. Walking poles are not permitted. Only Race 3 has a water station at approximately 7.5 miles and participants must not litter outside water stations. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs due to stiles and extreme terrain.
