The IRON HORSE Endurance Run is scheduled for January 2, 2027, in Paris, Texas. Distances offered include:

  • 100K RUCK The event is organized by Texas Outlaw Running Company with support from Sigma Wolf, Paris TX, and cities along the Northeast Texas Trail. The event base is the Love Civic Center, 2025 S Collegiate Dr, Paris, TX.

Course and logistics

The course uses the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) and runs on dirt, gravel, paved trails, roads, and sidewalks. Elevation is described as flat with about 1000 ft total gain for the 100K and about 2000 ft total gain for the 100 Miler. Historic average temperatures are given as roughly 33 to 53 degrees.

The event provides full race support including aid stations, warming stations, crew access points, and course photography. Participants must bring their own water-carrying system because disposable cups are not provided. A headlamp is required for all participants. Pacers are limited to one per runner and are allowed only in the last half of each race. Ruck weight rules: 30 lb ruck if over 150 lbs, 20 lb ruck if under 150 lbs. Finishers receive event gear and awards, including a custom finisher plaque with a built-in buckle holder and an authentic railroad spike.
