Course and logistics

The course follows the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT). Surfaces include dirt, gravel, paved trails, roads, and sidewalks. Elevation is described as flat, with about 1,000 ft of elevation gain for the 100K and 2,000 ft for the 100 Miler. Historic average temperatures are noted as roughly 33-53 degrees. Headlamps are required for all participants. The event does not provide disposable cups; participants must use their own water-carrying systems. Only one pacer per runner is allowed, and pacers are permitted only in the last half of each race. Ruck weight requirements: 30 lb for participants over 150 lb and 20 lb for those under 150 lb.

The course is fully supported with aid stations offering food and hydration, warming stations, several crew access points, and photography. Finishers receive a custom engraved plaque that includes a railroad spike from the NETT; additional items listed include event longsleeves, hoodies, buckles, patches, and place awards for divisions.
