Ilford Athletic Club is organising a 10 mile cross country race on 28 December 2025. The race is held as a tribute and a donation will be made to a charity. Total places are listed as 500 and the event status is open.
Course and logistics
The course is three laps of an undulating route on tracks and grassland in Hainault Forest. The race starts and finishes on the plain at Chigwell Row, Lambourne Road, IG7 6ET. Parking and public conveniences are available via the main entrance to Hainault Forest Park; parking is not available on the plain at the race start. Race numbers are to be collected on the day from race HQ.
Entry, cut-off and prizes
Entries are available in advance and on the day; on-the-day entries incur a £3 surcharge. Standard entry fee is £9.00, with a discounted fee of £7.00 available until 22 December 2025 for members of EA, WA or SA. The organiser pays the 4% service fee (minimum 50p); entrants pay no surcharge. There is a 2 hour cut-off for the course; runners who exceed this time may complete the course but the course marshals and an official finish time cannot be guaranteed. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women and to veteran categories. Results will be posted on the club website after the event.
