Fitness Racing at FoxFit

The HyFox event takes place at FoxFit in Livingston, located at Peel Primary School. This fitness competition combines running with functional movement stations. Participants can choose between different formats based on the running distance required between each exercise station.

The event features eight specific stations that must be performed in a set order. For the full course, athletes complete a 1 km run before each station, while the half course requires a 500 m run between stations. Judges are present at every station to monitor form and count repetitions.

The competition consists of the following eight stations:

  • 100 Battle Rope slams
  • 50 metre sled push
  • 50 metre sled pull
  • 80 metre burpee broad jumps
  • 100 Sandbag bent rows
  • 100 metre sandbag lunges
  • 200 metre farmer carry
  • 100 Wall balls

The event includes various divisions such as Individual (Open or Pro), Doubles (Men's, Women's, or Mixed), and a Half course. There is also a HyFox Cubs division for participants aged 10 to 14 years old. The youth division uses adjusted weights and shorter distances, such as a 500 m run between stations and a 40 m burpee broad jump. Equipment weights for all divisions vary depending on the category selected. Admission is limited to 60 total places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
