This trail event at Dauset Trails, 360 Mount Vernon Church Rd, Jackson, GA, features mostly single-track trails with rolling hills, roots, rocks and several technical sections. The marathon and half marathon use the same loop with the marathon run twice. Runners will pass alongside creeks and may see local wildlife.
Aid and safety details are specified for each distance. The half marathon has one aid station that is passed at mile 4 and again at mile 9.5. The marathon route includes two separate aid stations that are passed at miles 4, 9.5, 13.1, 17, and 23. Marathon and half marathon participants are required to carry a handheld bottle or hydration pack. This is a cupless race. The marathon has a nine hour time limit. Marathon runners have crew access at the halfway point and may leave a drop bag there.
Post race offerings include warm food and beverages. All entrants receive a t-shirt and all finishers in the marathon, half marathon and 5K receive a finisher medal; awards are given to first overall male and female in each distance and there are no age group awards. Registration closes January 13 at 11:59 PM ET and shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by January 1. Refunds are 100 percent until three months before the race; after that no refunds are issued. Proceeds benefit Dauset Trails. Course maps are available on Strava.
