The Sparrow is a timed trail running event in Griffin, GA organized by Revolution Running Co. The event offers two timed races: a six hour race and a three hour race. The venue moved to Griffin to provide a more scenic trail loop around a lake; the address is 287 Jordan Hill Road.
The course is an approximately 2 mile loop of smooth single track, mostly easy and rolling. A central aid station will provide typical ultra food with efforts to include options for various dietary preferences. Participants may bring their own fuel and hydration and may set up a tent at the aid area.
All registrants receive a Sparrow t-shirt; the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt is January 20. Runners who cover more than 50K during the six hour event or more than 25K during the three hour event receive a raffle ticket for sponsor prizes.
A counselor with ultrarunning experience is available for scheduling on-site or remote sessions focused on mental health topics such as perfectionism, eating disorders, body image, and burnout.
