About the race
The Huff N' Puff Trail Races take place in Jackson, GA on January 16, 2027 and are organized by Revolution Running Co. Events use trails at Dauset Trails and nearby areas around 360 Mount Vernon Church Rd.
The event offers multiple trail distances:
- Marathon: same course as the half, completed twice; crew access and drop bags at halfway.
- Half marathon: one lap of course; aid station passed at mile 4 and 9.5.
- 5K: short trail distance.
The marathon and half marathon courses use mostly single track trails with rolling hills, roots, rocks, and some technical sections. Routes run beside creeks and may include wildlife sightings. The marathon passes two separate aid stations at miles 4, 9.5, 13.1, 17, and 23.
All marathon and half marathon runners are required to carry a hand held or pack for hydration. This is a cupless race. The marathon time limit is nine hours.
Post-race provisions include warm food and beverages, and all finishers in the marathon, half marathon and 5K receive a t-shirt and a medal. First overall male and female awards are given for each distance; there are no age group awards. To be guaranteed a shirt, registration must be completed by January 1. Proceeds benefit Dauset Trails. Runners may receive a full refund if canceled more than three months before the event; after that no refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
