The Sparrow, Griffin GA
The Sparrow is a timed loop trail event held in Griffin, Georgia on February 6, 2027. The organizer is Revolution Running Co. The event includes two timed races:
- 6 HOUR RACE
- 3 HOUR RACE
The course is an approximately 2 mile loop of smooth single track around a lake. Most of the loop is described as easy and rolling. A central aid station will provide typical ultrarunning food with efforts to offer options for different dietary preferences. Participants may bring their own fuel and hydration and may set up a tent at the aid area.
All registrants receive a Sparrow t-shirt and a medal. Shirts for this year are pink on pink; the image showing green on green is from 2026. The deadline to be guaranteed a t-shirt is January 20.
The event notes a focus on mental health and holistic wellness; an ultrarunning counselor associated with the event offers sessions for issues such as perfectionism, eating disorders, body image concerns, and burnout. Information for scheduling a session is provided by the organizer.
