The Sparrow
The Sparrow is a timed trail running event in Griffin, GA offering two race formats on February 6, 2027. The event takes place on a looped trail around a lake at 287 Jordan Hill Rd and is organized by Revolution Running Co.
Race formats:
- 6 HOUR RACE
- 3 HOUR RACE
The course is an approximately 2 mile loop of smooth single track trail. Most of the loop is described as easy and rolling. A central aid station will provide typical ultrarunning food, with efforts made to offer options for various dietary preferences. Participants may bring their own fuel and hydration and may set up a tent at the aid area.
All registrants receive a Sparrow t-shirt; the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt is January 20. Runners who cover more than 50K in the 6 hour format or more than 25K in the 3 hour format receive a raffle ticket for prizes from event sponsors.
The event includes access to a counselor with experience in ultrarunning and holistic wellness who offers sessions focused on issues such as perfectionism, people pleasing, eating disorders, body image concerns, and burnout.
