HRCA Wildcat Mountain Trail Races

The HRCA Wildcat Mountain Trail Races takes place within the HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area in Littleton, Colorado. The event uses the natural terrain around Wildcat Mountain, featuring rolling hills and open views of the surrounding landscape. The course starts at the Douglas County East/West Trailhead located at Rocky Heights Middle School and follows the E/W Trail directly into the Backcountry trail system.

Participants can choose from several distance options:

  • 10 Miles
  • 10K
  • 2 Miles (Ages 11-12)
  • 1 Mile (Ages 8-10)
  • 0.62 Miles (Ages 5-7)
  • 0.25 Miles (Ages 2-4)

Adult participants in the 10-mile and 10K events receive a dry-fit race shirt, a custom race bib, and a finisher medal. Following the race, a pancake breakfast is provided along with post-race beverages.

The event also includes a series of untimed races specifically for children aged 12 and under. These short-distance runs are organized by age group to provide an introduction to trail running.
