The Howlin’ Trails 5K/10K at Wolf Creek takes place June 5, 2026 in Fayetteville, WV. Both the 5K and 10K start and finish at Bridge Brew Works, located at 335 Nick Rahall Greenway. The course runs on the Wolf Creek Trails through rolling trails and woodlands. Packet pick-up with bib numbers is available race day starting at 4:30 pm at Bridge Brew Works. Participants will receive a commemorative sport towel.

Participants ages 12 and under can join the 5K for free when a parent registers.

Registration, teams, and awards

Registration opens in late January 2026 (Jan 29–30) and the last day to register is June 2, 2026. Pricing varies by registration period and differs for the 5K and 10K. Teams may be formed during registration; the first team member creates the team. The event includes team awards and a fundraising challenge to benefit Active SWV Kids Run Clubs.

Individual awards are given to the top three males and top three females in each age division: 5-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, and 65+. Team awards include recognitions for spirit, largest team, and top fundraising team. Proceeds and team fundraising support Active SWV Kids Run Clubs.
