Gritty Chix Mud Run - ACE Adventure Resort
Gritty Chix Mud Run is a non-competitive mud obstacle event held on June 20, 2026, at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, West Virginia. The event offers a woodland trail experience that leads to a shared mud obstacle area. Participants encounter mud pits and multiple obstacles that vary in difficulty; anyone may bypass obstacles they do not wish to attempt. Water stations and first aid are stationed along the trails and at the finish area.
Two course choices are available:
- Moxie Mile: 1 mile course
- Tenacious Trail: 5K course
The event is open to participants ages 10 and up; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Teams are welcome but not required. Race amenities listed for participants include a finish-line medal, a race shirt for those registered by 5/31/26, secure bag check, shower houses and changing rooms, free parking, and shuttle service between parking and shower facilities. Post-run entertainment takes place at The Lost Paddle with live music and an awards presentation. Prizes are planned for categories such as best costume, largest team, furthest traveled, and most creative team name.
