Gritty Chix Mud Run takes place on June 20, 2026 at ACE Adventure Resort in Oak Hill, West Virginia. The event is open to participants ages 10 and up; those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. It is organized as a non-competitive mud run with an emphasis on teamwork and fun. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit a charitable partner to be announced.

Course and format

Both courses run on woodland trails that converge on a mud obstacle course. The 5K includes a few additional mud holes. Obstacles vary in difficulty and can be bypassed if a participant prefers. Water and first aid stations are located along the trails and at the finish area. Teams are allowed but not required. Some awards are given for categories such as best costume, largest team, furthest traveled and most creative team name.
