Participants compete on timed loops depending on their chosen discipline. Mountain bikers ride a 7-mile loop consisting of technical dirt trails. Trail runners utilize a 3-mile loop on similar terrain. Wheelchair athletes compete on a dedicated course featuring paved paths and gravel roads.

Amenities and Logistics
The event features a central area known as the Hub at the base of Derby Hill, where a tent city is established. Participants and their crews may set up personal base camps using EZ Up tents. The registration fee includes snacks and picnic-style food from the grill, which opens in the late morning. Awards are presented to the winner of each category. Dedicated packet pickup sessions are held on the Friday evening before the race and on the morning of the event at the Franke Park Hub.
