Dirty Fox Five Hour Trail Race
The Dirty Fox Five Hour Trail Race is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Franke Park in Fort Wayne, IN (3411 Sherman Blvd). The event offers three categories: runner, rider, and wheelchair. Each entry lists a fee of $30. Participants attempt to complete as many full laps as possible within a five-hour limit. Progress is recorded on a whiteboard and on a timing mat. No credit is given for incomplete laps. The participant with the highest number of full laps in each category is the category winner; ties are broken by the fastest first lap.
Course, logistics and awards
- 3-mile loop for runners (east side of Franke Park)
- 5-mile loop for riders (west side of Franke Park)
- 2-mile loop for wheelchair athletes (pavement and gravel)
There are no aid stations on the course; food and drink will be available at the HUB. Lunch is provided for registered competitors and crew/spectators at the HUB. Organizers encourage teams to set up a home base near the HUB at the base of Derby Hill. Riders must wear a bicycle helmet; safety glasses are recommended. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, September 18, and check-in occurs on Saturday, September 19. Funds raised will be donated to Summit City Singletrack.
