Hot Laps Toronto

Hot Laps Toronto is presented as the first edition of the event, powered by On. Inspired by motor racing, the event uses a relay format that emphasizes speed, strategy, and teamwork to rank crews.

Teams are made up of four runners and have 45 minutes to complete as many laps as possible. Teams must be formed before registration and are required to be mixed gender; no team may consist entirely of a single gender. Example combinations listed include 2 women/2 men, 3 women/1 man, or 3 men or women/1 non-binary person. Each team member runs one lap before exchanging in a designated zone, making exchanges and team strategy as important as individual speed.

The five teams with the most laps advance to the final. Final placings are determined by the fastest laps in the final. The race format could be changed. The race is scheduled in Toronto on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
