Event overview
The Highlands Running Festival takes place on Sunday 22 March 2026 at Bray Fields, Oxley College in Burradoo, Southern Highlands, NSW. The event offers four distances:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
All finishers receive a Southern Highlands themed medal, post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways, and an online finisher certificate. Races are chip timed by Multisport Australia. Photographers will be on course and images will be posted after the event.
Course and logistics
The course follows fully pathed riverside routes along the Bong Bong Common Track adjacent to the Wingecarribee River. There will be other pedestrians and cyclists on the paths, and organisers advise awareness of other users. Water stations will supply water and Tailwind Nutrition at specific kilometre markers for each distance:
- Half: water at 2, 4.7, 5.3, 8, 12.6, 15.3, 15.9 and 18.6 km.
- 10 km: water at 2, 4.7, 5.3 and 8 km.
- 5 km: water at 2 and 3 km.
The event village is reachable by walking, cycling or car; there is no public transport available on a Sunday morning. Parking is available at Oxley College and nearby residential streets.
Entry details and timing rules
Entry fees vary by booking period. Typical ranges are: Half Marathon $80–$110, 10 km $50–$75, 5 km $38–$55, 2 km $28–$40. The 2 km Family Dash allows an accompanying adult for an additional $10; the adult is not timed and will not receive a medal. There are no cut off times for the 2 km, 5 km or 10 km.
