The course mixes roads, grass, sand, rocks, stairs, small bridges and a shallow water crossing at Werri Beach. Trails are described as hilly, narrow and uneven and may be muddy or slippery in parts; care is required when passing or overtaking. Wheelchairs, prams and dogs are not permitted.
Aid station provision varies by distance: the 21 km has three aid stations (six passes), the 12 km has three aid stations (three passes), the 5 km has one aid station (two passes), and the 2 km has no aid station. Aid stations supply water, cola, Pure Electrolytes and lollies. A recovery zone refreshment is available after the finish for all races.
Entries are processed via the Race Roster platform. Bibs are collected at the event hub; there is no postage option. A bag drop is provided at the Kiama event hub and at Gerringong for 12 km competitors. The 21 km has a course cutoff: athletes must reach the Werri Beach checkpoint within two hours or be recorded DNF.
Finisher medals are awarded to all finishers. Age-group podium medals are given across specified bands for the 21 km, 12 km and 5 km events. The event incorporates measures to reduce waste, including reusable Bib Snaps and initiatives to reduce single-use cups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
