The Kiama Coastal Classic takes place at Kiama Surf Life Saving Club on Manning Street in Kiama, NSW. The event offers several run distances along the South Coast shoreline, passing Werri and Kiama Beaches and coastal scenery framed by green hills and rocky coastline.
Distances:
- 2 km Bolt
- 5 km Dash
- 12 km One Way Classic
- 21 km Coastal Classic (main event)
All finishers receive a finisher medal. Podium medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age category. The 21 km course includes a turnaround point at Werri Beach; athletes must reach that checkpoint within two hours of their start time or they will be transported back to event central and recorded as DNF.
The 12 km race has a minimum age of 15 and a three hour completion requirement. 12 km participants must collect race packs from Kiama before starting; buses will run from Kiama to Gerringong and bus tickets are available for purchase during registration. Slow As Run Club options are available for selected distances and require the same completion limits for those distances. The 5 km event is an out and back course starting and finishing at Kiama.
