High Noon Showdown

High Noon Showdown is a timed trail running event organized by G.O.A.T. Trail Running at 1424 Ranch Rd., Laurens, SC. The event offers multiple time-based race options and a ruck division. Registration closes Fri, May 29 @ 11:59PM ET and the shirt deadline is April 28.

The 6 Hour Ruck requires participants to carry a 25 lb pack; participants will be weighed prior to the start. Events are run on a looped course of about five miles that begins and ends at the aid station. The course is generally flat with approximately 200 of elevation gain per lap and includes groomed trails for the majority of the route. No cutoffs are listed for distances; the event is structured around timed efforts.

Organizers state a partnership with Project Hope Foundation in Woodruff, SC. Project Hope provides services to the autism community with programs that help families, open minds, promote inclusion, and expand potential. A competitive 1 mile Memorial Day race in Greenville at The Kroc Center that honors fallen service members and first responders. The third annual Honor Tower Mile welcomes participants of all paces.

A trail event at Lakewood Nature Preserve where solo runners or relay teams complete four 2 mile loops with a BYOB beer challenge, chip timing, post-race games, giveaways and awards.

A community 5K run and walk on June 6, 2026 at the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail Extension in Clinton, SC supporting the Laurens County Trails Association. A Healthy Living Fair with vendors and trail activities follows the race.

Test your endurance at The Preserve at Lakewood in a unique elimination race. Complete two mile laps on rolling grass trails as the time limit grows shorter with every loop from sunrise to sunset.
