Hell Hole Hundred
Cordesville, United States • 5-7 Jun 2026
The Hell Hole Hundred is an ultrarunning event held on the Jericho Horse Trail in the Francis Marion National Forest near Bethera, South Carolina. The event offers multiple distances on looped trail courses that use a 16 mile loop and an 18 mile loop; the loop count depends on the chosen event.
Distances include:
- 100 miles
- 50 miles
- 50 km
- Night 25 km
- 25 km
- 10 km
The trail surface is a mix of dirt fire roads and single track. The terrain is flat and the event takes place in June in swamp conditions with notable heat and humidity. Course markings use blue reflective flags on the ground and blue reflective ribbon in trees. Runners must check in at each aid station.
Three fully stocked aid stations are placed along the course and a main aid area at the start and finish offers food, snacks, water, and sports drink. Porta potties are located at the start and finish and at both aid stations. The 10 km route is an out-and-back and has no aid stations, so runners need to carry their own fluids.
Pacers are permitted for 50 milers on the last loop and for 100 milers after completion of the third loop; one pacer bib is issued and only one pacer may accompany a runner at a time. The event runs rain or shine and there are no refunds; bib transfers and distance changes are managed through the event platform by a stated deadline.
