Harvest Festival - Kensington

The Kensington Harvest Festival Race Day takes place on August 22, 2026 and begins at the Kensington Credit Union Centre. The event features out and back races that follow the historic Confederation Trail and pass through rolling farmland, wooded sections, and open island landscapes.

The course runs primarily on a well maintained crushed stone trail, with about 95% of the route on a smooth, unpaved surface. The route is predominantly flat with gradual rolling sections, includes minimal road crossings, and experiences virtually no vehicle traffic. Water stations are positioned along the course and volunteers provide support and encouragement.

The event is organized by the PEI Roadrunners Club, an affiliate member of Sport PEI. The club's mandate is to promote the sport of running on Prince Edward Island and to encourage Islanders to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. Proceeds from most races sanctioned by the club go to charities, sporting organizations, and other worthwhile causes.
