Barry's Backyard Ultra - Brackley Beach

Barry's Backyard Ultra features a 6.706 km loop to be run each hour, repeated as long as a participant continues or until a 24 hour limit is reached. The course follows gentle routes through fields and tractor paths in Brackley Beach, with modest elevation gains.

The event is organized by the PEI Roadrunners Club, an affiliate member of Sport PEI. The club's mandate is to promote the sport of running on Prince Edward Island and to encourage island residents to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. Proceeds from most races and runs sanctioned by the club are directed to charities, sporting organizations and other worthwhile causes.

The venue provides multiple places to set up a personal station for a runner and their crew, allowing equipment and recovery needs to be managed between loops.
