Bonshaw Trail Races

The PEI Roadrunners Club organizes the Bonshaw Trail Races on Sunday, August 2, 2026. The club is an Affiliate Member of Sport PEI; its mandate is to promote the sport of running on PEI and to encourage Islanders to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle. Proceeds from most races sanctioned by the club go to charities, sporting organizations and other worthwhile causes.

Races take place on trails in Bonshaw Hills and Strathgartney Provincial Parks. Course features include rolling hills, dense forests and picturesque trails. Participants will encounter single-track trails, wooden bridges and some pavement.

Distances offered:

  • 5 km (introductory distance)
  • 10 km (jaunt in the woods)
  • 26 km (longer trail distance)
  • 52 km (two loops of 26 km)

Brookvale

A backyard ultra on a closed 6.7 km trail loop where runners repeat laps until only one remains. Organized by the PEI Roadrunners Club, with proceeds directed to charities and sporting organizations.

Barry's Backyard Ultra - Brackley Beach

Brackley Beach

Run a 6.706 km loop each hour on a gentle Brackley Beach course, with space for crew stations and proceeds supporting local charities and sporting groups.
