Harriman Trail Runs is a trail race held in Island Park, ID at 3489 Green Canyon Road with the race date confirmed for August 15, 2026. Registration opens April 1 and closes August 10 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. Participation is limited and a waitlist may be used if distances fill.

Distances for 2026 include:

• Short: 1k / 0.6 mi Kids' Run on the Railroad Ranch gravel loop.
• Tall: 10k / 6.4 mi following the Silver Lake Trail after two-track access.
• Grande: 25k / 15.3 mi single loop course.
• Venti: 50k / 30.6 mi consisting of two laps of the 25k course.

Courses run through forest and meadows on gravel, two-tracks and pine-needle single track, with views of the Teton Mountains and the local valley. The start and finish are on the east lawn of The Boy's House. Seasonal wildlife closures affect some trails until mid June or July; GPX files will be provided to registered runners once closures lift. Course reroutes for 2026 aim to improve access to the on-course aid station.

There is one on-course aid station plus a start/finish station. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own drinking vessel. Typical aid station fare includes water, sports drink, cookies, chips, soda, candy and pickles. Entry includes a late breakfast/brunch/lunch with items such as burritos, burgers and baked potatoes.

Minors may participate with parental and race director permission; organizers request advance registration for minors. Refunds are available only if the race is full and a waitlist replacement exists, roughly up to 30 days before the event. Entries are nontransferable and there are no rollovers. No dogs are allowed in the park except in parking areas. Completing the chosen distance by mid afternoon is appreciated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
