Harriman Trail Runs - Island Park, ID
Harriman Trail Runs is a trail running event held in Island Park, Idaho, with multiple distances on forest and meadow trails that offer views of the Teton Mountains and the local valley. Terrain includes gravel, two-track roads and pine-needle single track. Wildlife may be present on course sections.
Distances for 2026 include:
- Short: 1k / 0.6 mi Kid's Run
- Tall: 10k / 6.4 mi
- Grande: 25k / 15.3 mi
- Venti: 50k / 30.6 mi
The 25K course is one loop; the 50K is two loops. The 10K follows the Silver Lake Trail after accessing an aid station via two-tracks. The 1k Kid's Run follows the gravel loop through historic Railroad Ranch. The start and finish area is on the east lawn of the Boy's House.
Aid is provided at the start/finish plus one on-course station; runners visit it multiple times depending on distance. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own drinking vessel. Food is included in the entry fee and will be served after the race. All finishers in 2026 will receive a finisher medal. Prizes are listed for the top three women and men in the 10k, 25k and 50k distances.
Seasonal park trail closures affect some routes until mid-June or July; course files will be provided after closures lift. Registration opens April 1 and closes August 10; entries are limited and a waitlist may be used. Refunds are available only if the race is full and a waitlisted runner takes the spot; there are no rollovers and entries may not be transferred.
