The Harriman Trail Runs take place at Harriman State Park near Island Park, Idaho. The event offers multiple trail distances and a family Kid's Run. Participation is limited to preserve the park's uncrowded wilderness and historic character.
Distances include:
- Short: 1k / 0.6 mi Kid's Run
- Tall: 10k / 6.4 mi
- Grande: 25k / 15.3 mi
- Venti: 50k / 30.6 mi (two laps of the 25k course)
Courses run through forest and meadows on gravel, two-track, and pine-needle single track with views of the Teton Range and the local valley. The 25k is the base loop; the 50k completes two loops. The 10k follows the Silver Lake Trail after a two-track approach. The Kid's Run follows the gravel loop through the historic Railroad Ranch. The start and finish are located on the east lawn of the Boy's House.
Aid is provided at one on-course station plus a start/finish station. The aid station serves standard race fare including cookies, chips, soda, candy, pickles, water and sports drink; 10k runners visit once, 25k runners twice, and 50k runners four times. All finishers receive a medal; prizes go to the top three women and top three men in Tall, Grande and Venti. A post-race late breakfast or brunch is included with entry.
No dogs are allowed inside the park except in parking areas. There is no park camping; yurts and park buildings are available to rent. Refunds are possible only if the race is full and a wait list replacement is available; no rollovers and entries may not be transferred.
