Yellowstone Trail Races
The Yellowstone Trail Races take place at Rendezvous Ski Trails near West Yellowstone, Montana, just outside the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The event is held on trails within the Custer Gallatin National Forest and offers multiple trail distances.

- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half marathon 13.1 miles
- 10K 10 kilometers
All registrants receive a souvenir race medal and lanyard, a custom race bib, a custom race sticker, a Wolf Pack sticker, and Hammer Nutrition fueling products. The event provides aid station support, a marked and certified course, chip timing, and posted results. Snacks and refreshments are available at the finish line. Discounted race shirts are available for purchase and are delivered to home addresses via Amazon Prime.
Registration opens June 15, 2025 and closes August 2, 2026. Registration fees are listed for each distance: marathon $80, half marathon $70, and 10K $50.
The race is permitted under a special use authorization from the Custer Gallatin National Forest. The Forest Service recommends that each participant carry bear spray for this event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
