Happy Trails Marathon
The event offers a Marathon and a Half Marathon held along the Jordan River Parkway Trail with the start and finish at Olympic Park in Lehi. The course runs almost entirely on the parkway trail and is noted for springtime blooms along the route.
Race services listed for participants include a well marked course, well stocked aid stations, live results, free race photos, a quality race shirt, and a locally made finisher medal. Aid stations include Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and additional snack items.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at the Salt Lake Running Store in Sandy, and same-day packet pickup is available at the starting line. Parking is free. The race uses navigation aids such as pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. The organizer will remove aid stations following a 7.5 hour pace.
Awards include overall male and female plaques for top finishers and age-division medals for 1st through 3rd in standard age groups including 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Salt Lake Running Company provides 1st-place gift cards.
Volunteers receive a credit for future Happy Trails races and access to finish-area food. Post-race food includes items from Great Harvest Bread plus drinks and fruit.
