A Happy New Year 5K & 10K Trail Run takes place on January 1, 2027 at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area in Marble Falls, Texas. The event offers two distances on scenic trails near Lake Travis.

• 10K trail run or ruck

The course uses a loop-based design with a central start and finish area. Routes are well marked with signage and event crew. Runners can expect rolling terrain, short climbs, and lake views. The course is described as beginner-friendly and is open to walking, jogging, or running.

Parking is available inside the park near the start and finish area, and participants should follow event signage and crew directions. All participants must complete an online waiver prior to racing. For those who register on race day, a photo ID may be required and bib pickup is available on-site.

Recommended items include hydration, trail-appropriate shoes, sunscreen, and layered clothing for cool mornings and warmer late morning conditions. Trail running shoes or shoes with good grip are suggested. Costumes and festive gear are allowed.
