The 50K covers roughly 31 miles, with about 26 miles of single track and 5 miles of dirt forest road. The 27K is run entirely on single track and turns around at the AuTrain aid station. Course details and race logistics

The route follows a section of the North Country Trail to AuTrain and into the Rock River Canyon Wilderness, then retraces eastward to Valley Spur. There are six aid stations located approximately 4.0 to 5.4 miles apart (at about 4, 8.4, 12.8, 18.2, 22.6, and 27 miles). Runners are required to carry a refillable 20 oz water bottle or functional hydration system. Aid stations will offer cold water, an electrolyte drink, energy gels, and electrolyte tablets.

Other details: parking is available at Valley Spur; a large tent near the start/finish will hold drop bags and lost items left on the island will be returned to the ferry boat store on the mainland. Entrant limit is 100 runners. Awards include a commemorative finisher medallion and podium prizes for top three male and female finishers in each distance; age-group awards and small finisher gifts are listed.
