The Great Guernsey Trail 12Ks of Christmas takes place on December 13, 2025 in Lore City, Ohio. It is the event's 8th annual running and includes multiple race options:
- 12K Race
- 5K Race
- 5K Family Fun Run/Walk
The event is a bib-timed race with timing services provided by Muskingum Multiports. It collects new unwrapped toys for the Guernsey County Secret Santa; individuals who bring a toy are entered to win gift cards or cash. Proceeds support the Guernsey County Community Development Corp., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Course, registration and awards
All events are out-and-back routes held entirely on the paved Great Guernsey Trail in Leatherwood Park, following Leatherwood Creek and returning to Lore City. Water is available at the turnarounds and finish area. Food, hot chocolate and warming stations are provided at the finish. Race packets include a t-shirt with the race logo and a sticker; participants registered by November 28 will receive a T-shirt.
Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers in each race. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age category: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Finisher’s medals are given to all participants. Paper registration forms are available and can be mailed to Guernsey County CDC, P.O. Box 1175, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
