Goodbye26

Rochester, United States • 30 Dec 2026

Event Details

The Goodbye26 is an end of year running event taking place in downtown Rochester on December 30. Now in its twelfth year, the event provides a final opportunity for an in-person trail race before the conclusion of the calendar year. The race is hosted at the RARA building, which provides participants with indoor space to warm up and access restroom facilities before and after the run.

The course is an out and back route along the Clinton River Trail. Due to the late December timeframe, participants are advised to utilize specific shoe traction, such as Yak Traks, if the trail surface is covered in snow or ice. The event features a single distance option:

  • 5K RUN/WALK (3.1 Miles)

Participants receive a unique handmade finisher award, which is crafted by local artisans and changes annually. After the event, refreshments including pizza, hot cocoa, and water are provided. Additionally, white elephant prizes are distributed to all finishers. Packet pick-up is organized within the RARA building prior to the event start. This race is also part of a larger end of year schedule for those interested in multiple events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
