Gaylord Gauntlet
The Gaylord Gauntlet is a 5K trail and obstacle run on the 400-acre campus of Gaylord Specialty Healthcare at 50 Gaylord Farm Road, Wallingford, CT 06492. Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is a 137-bed long term acute care hospital serving people recovering from life-changing injuries or illnesses. The event functions as a cornerstone fundraiser for the hospital and supports the Gaylord Sports Association, which focuses on enhancing the lives of people with physical disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation.
The Gauntlet course combines wooded trails and open fields and includes 24 natural and manmade obstacles. The event is planned, built, and run by Gaylord staff and volunteers. A Festival Area accompanies the race with local vendors, live music, and food trucks.
The event is open to runners of all abilities. A registration fee of $60.00 is listed for the event.
