Galtee Challenge Duo Race

Galtee Challenge Duo Race is an Irish Mountain Running Association event held in County Tipperary, starting and finishing at King’s Yard near Kilbehenny. The two-person team covers 25.5 km with about 1,800 metres of ascent, visiting points such as Carrigeen, Bull Hill, Sheep’s Pins, Temple Hill (open mountain section), Lyracappul, and Galty Mor trig point. The route is unmarked, with GPS allowed, increasing navigational challenge. Described as Extreme, it requires Level C – Advanced kit: waterproofs, warmth, headwear, shelter, water, food, map, compass, and more.
