FXBG Trail Half Marathon

The FXBG Trail Half Marathon is the fifth and final event in the FXBG Trail Series. The race takes place on the reservoir trail system in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The course provides a full tour of the winding network surrounding the water, covering the entire trail system from start to finish.

The route consists of flowing singletrack with constant twists and turns. The terrain features rolling hills and changing scenery throughout the distance. Runners follow the shoreline and pass through various wooded sections. The course is designed as a loop that utilizes the full character of the reservoir’s undulating landscape.

Participants encounter five distinct climbs during the race. These ascents contribute to a total elevation gain of 946 feet. The course layout combines these climbs with flowing descents and curving paths. The event features one primary distance:

The top three male and female finishers receive gift certificates from a local outfitter. This trail race is supported by the Fredericksburg Area Running Club and serves as the conclusion to the seasonal series.
