Frosty Fifty Trail Races 50K
The Frosty Fifty Trail Races take place January 8-9, 2027 at Salem Lake, 815 Salem Lake Road, Winston Salem, NC 27107. The event offers multiple trail race distances on a 12.5K loop at Salem Lake and a separate night 5K on the Salem Lake Trail. No race day registration is available.
Distances and basic format:
- 5K Night Race Out and back on Salem Lake Trail
- 12.5K One 12.5K loop with water stops approximately every 3.5 miles
- 25K Two 12.5K loops with water stops approximately every 3.5 miles
- 50K Four 12.5K loops with water stops approximately every 3.5 miles
- Gwyn's Grace 50K Relay Four-person teams, each runner completes one 12.5K loop
The 25K and 50K specify that all finishers receive finishers swag. The 50K has a seven hour time cap; an early start option is available but early starters are not eligible for awards and must check in with the timing trailer before starting.
