Froggy's Freaky Friday is a 24-hour running event at Froggy Mountain, 166 Old Quaker Road, Galax, VA, held on Halloween. Registration closes on October 28. Bib pickup and crew-site setup are available in the afternoon before the event. Free tent and car camping are offered; reduced-price air b&b or glamping tents are also available.

Course, distances and services

The event uses a 1-mile loop with about 500 feet per mile and a haunted-forest theme on the course. An overall award is given to the competitor who completes the most laps in 24 hours. Medals are given to anyone who reaches 50k or 50 mile within the 24-hour window. Awards are listed for the following distances:

  • 50 mile
  • 100k and 100 mile (awards indicated by the organizer)
