Fortitude Ultra - Pippingford

Nutley, United Kingdom • 10 Oct 2026

Event Overview

The Fortitude Ultra - Pippingford is an endurance event held at Pippingford Park in Uckfield. Set within a private working estate and MOD training range, the event utilizes a secluded environment surrounded by nature. The format requires participants to complete 10 Laps over a duration of 10 Hours.

The Challenge Format

Participants select from three available loop distances for each lap. The rules require runners to complete one lap every hour and return to the race village before the next hour begins. Failure to return within the hour prevents progression to the next lap. Participants may choose to decrease their loop distance at any point during the day, but they must finish all 10 laps to receive a finisher award. The final grading is determined by the shortest loop completed during the session.

Course Details

The event offers three distinct loops:

  • 3 mile Blue loop: Features more off-road trails and is suitable for walking or running.
  • 4 mile Red loop: Primarily consists of hard-packed trail surfaces.
  • 5 mile Black loop: Primary hard-packed trails with significant elevation changes.

Each lap can include up to 700 feet (215 meters) of elevation gain depending on the chosen route. Finisher medals and shirts are awarded based on the specific loops completed. The event is open to participants aged 20 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
