Course and logistics

Distances offered:

  • 3 mile
  • 4 mile
  • 5 mile

Participants may change down to a shorter loop at any time, but they must complete each lap and return to the race village within each hour to continue to the next hour. The finishing grade is based on the shortest loop completed, not on total distance covered.

Pippingford Park is a private working estate that includes an MOD training range and wooded surroundings. Each lap can include up to 700 ft (215 m) of elevation. The Red and Black courses are mostly on hard-packed trail, while the Blue course uses more off-road trail and can be completed by walking or running. Basic camping for tents and motor homes is available on Saturday 28 March; pitches accommodate one tent for up to six people. Facilities are limited: there is no running water or showers, and portable toilets will be provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
