Fortitude Ultra - Pippingford

Fortitude Ultra is a timed endurance event held on 28 March 2026 at Pippingford Park, Uckfield. The format is 10 hours and 10 laps, with participants completing repeated loops of roughly 3 miles, 4 miles or 5 miles.

Distances offered:

  • ~3 miles loop
  • ~4 miles loop
  • ~5 miles loop

Participants may drop down to a shorter loop at any time, but they must complete all 10 laps and return to the race village within each hour to continue. Failure to finish a lap and return within the hour prevents progression to the next hour. The finishing grade is determined by the shortest loop completed, not by total mileage.

Pippingford Park is a private working estate that includes an MOD training range. The venue is described as a secluded estate surrounded by nature and used for the event.

Each lap can include up to 700 ft (215 m) of elevation. The Red and Black courses use mostly hard packed trail, while the Blue course has more off-road trail. The Blue loop can be completed by walking or running provided participants maintain the required pace.

Basic camping for tents and motor homes is available for the night of Saturday 28 March. Pitches cover one tent for up to six people. Facilities are limited: there is no running water or showers, but portable toilets will be on site. All campers must vacate the site before 9:00 AM on Sunday.
