Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run

The Flying Brick Bellarine Sunset Run is an annual coastal trail event on the Bellarine Peninsula, held on the second Saturday of February between Portarlington and St Leonards. The event is family organised and in 2026 marked its 11th edition. A backup date for 2026 is the morning of Sunday 15 February.

Races on the program include a half marathon, a 10.5 km course, and a 4 km community run. The event notes that walkers are welcome in the longer distances with no cutoffs, and that medals are provided for all finishers.

  • ProFeet Half Marathon - out-and-back course from Portarlington pier
  • STEIGEN 10 km - 10.5 km course from St Leonards pier to Portarlington
  • McColl’s Bully Buster 4 km - untimed community run from event headquarters

The STEIGEN 10 km entry includes a bus; participants must book during registration so the organisers can arrange capacity. The Bully Buster 4 km highlights the link between exercise and children’s mental health and is presented in partnership with local youth-focused initiatives.

The event typically brings together families and small groups for running and social activities on the Bellarine Peninsula and records results and photos for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
