Fitzwilliam to Troy Depot Day Cheshire Rail Trail Fun Run

The Fitzwilliam to Troy Depot Day Cheshire Rail Trail Fun Run takes place on Saturday June 6, 2026 in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire. The event follows a well maintained five mile section of the Cheshire Rail Trail from the original Fitzwilliam Railroad Depot at 6 Church Street to the restored Troy Depot on Depot Street in Troy.

The Cheshire Rail Trail begins in Walpole and passes through Fitzwilliam. The former railroad opened for train use on May 16, 1948 and rail service ended in 1960. Over time the corridor was converted to a bicycle and hiking trail and now covers roughly 43 miles in total. Trail surfaces along the route vary and can include tall grass, rocky or sandy sections, paved stretches, and gravel.

The event includes an adult run and a short children's loop at the Fitzwilliam Depot. Food and festivities take place at both depots during the event. The run serves as a fundraiser for the Fitzwilliam and Troy Historical Societies.
