- 5K
- 10K
The course surface is technical single track with rock and dirt, rocky and rooty sections, and bridges. Each 5K loop includes slight elevation changes. The start and finish are located near the Herman Baker Park parking area and parking is provided at the main lot.
Participants receive a Firecracker Trek water bottle as the finisher item. Awards are given for 1st through 3rd place male and female, a first place Old Timer category for ages 50 and older, and a DFL "Dead Freakin' Last" award. Aid station hydration and snacks are provided on course; the course is fully marked and supported and event photography is available.
The event is cupless so participants must bring their own cup or bottle. Historic average July temperatures are about 96 degrees Fahrenheit (36 C). Registration closes at midnight the day before the race or when the 100 participant capacity is reached; there is no race day registration. The organizer issues race credit with at least 30 days notice rather than full refunds, and discounts are offered to active duty military and first responders with ID verification.
