Distances:

  • 25K
  • 8K
  • 8K RUCK

The course uses the Barred Owl, Painted Bunting, and Live Oak trails. The route is relatively flat with about 214 ft of elevation gain per loop. Historic average temperatures for the event period are between 75 and 90 degrees. The start and finish are located at Guadalupe River State Park.

Participants must use a headlamp. This is a no-cup race, so runners should provide their own water-carrying system. Race cutoff time is 8.5 hours. RUCK entrants must meet weight requirements: 30 lb ruck if over 150 lb, 20 lb ruck if under 150 lb; a ruck sack or vest is allowed.

Race gear and awards include a soft shirt, collectible finisher medals, 50K inscription on 50K medals, male and female 1st–3rd place awards for each distance, a DFL award for 50K, and a RUCK patch for RUCK finishers. The event provides aid station food and hydration, course marking and support, photography, and volunteer staff. The festival is part of the Texas Summer Night Series, which offers series pass options and related participant rewards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
