Fire Fest Ultra
Fire Fest Ultra is a weekend trail festival held November 21-22, 2026 in Logandale, Nevada, at the Valley of Fire area in the Mojave Desert. The event includes outdoor movies, food, music, karaoke, camping, and looped trail running through sandstone formations and areas with petroglyphs.
The primary loop is approximately 17 miles and the course is heavily marked. Aid stations provide water, Hammer/Heed, gels, salty snacks, fruits, and first aid; ultrarunners are offered hot food at the finish and at aid stations. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own bottle.
Multiple race formats are offered across the weekend:
- 100 miles (Saturday only)
- 100 kilometers (Saturday only)
- 50 miles (Saturday only)
- 50 kilometers
- 24 hour (Saturday only)
- 12 hour (Saturday only)
- Marathon
- 17 miles
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 mile kids' run
Some longer formats are held only on Saturday. Early solo starts are allowed when needed but those starts are not eligible for podium results. Pacers may join at the appropriate mileages and spectators and crews can use the staging area or a hub aid location; some access roads are sandy or rocky and four-wheel drive or high clearance is recommended. Valley of Fire State Park charges $10 in-state or $15 out-of-state per car per day for parking. Handmade plaques are awarded when fields are three deep and all finishers receive a handmade medal.
