Event Overview
The Fire Fest Ultra takes place on the Logandale Trails in Logandale, Nevada, within the Valley of Fire State Park. The event offers participants the option to run on Saturday or Sunday. Runners can see petroglyphs and night skies, especially if camping on site.
Distances
Participants can choose from multiple distances: 12hr, 24hr, 100M, 100k, 50M, 50k, Marathon, Half, 10k, 5k, or 1-mile kids' run. Sunday's events consist of the 50k, 26.2M, 13.1M, 10k, 5k, and the 1-mile kids run.
Course and Support
The full course loop is approximately 17.1 miles. Aid stations provide Gatorade, water, gel, salty snacks, fruit, and hot food for ultra runners. Hot coffee, cocoa, and tea are available all day. A hot food menu for longer distances includes casseroles, noodles, broth, burgers, breakfast items, and vegetarian/vegan options.
Logistics
Packet pickup occurs 45 minutes to one hour before the start time at the staging area. On-site camping is available, with no RV hookups. Parking in Valley of Fire State Park requires a daily fee. The staging area is one hour north of Las Vegas.
Other Details
Sin City Brewing Company sponsors beer for runners 21+. All finishers receive a handmade medal, and podium finishers get handmade plaques. The event offers a virtual run option where participants can submit times online and receive a shirt and medal by mail. A discount is available for runners signing up for both days.
