Faster For Foster Trail Run

Faster For Foster is a trail race held at Preservation Park in Thompson's Station, TN. The event benefits New To You, Inc., a local nonprofit that supports foster children in Middle Tennessee. One hundred percent of race proceeds are directed to help foster children. Foster children and foster families register free on the honor system.

The event offers the following distances:

• 10K
• 5K

The 10K follows the 5K course twice. The marked course uses orange or pink flags; runners are instructed to follow flags and return to the last flag if one is missing. The first two miles are on grass or gravel with wide trails and an out-and-back section near mile 1.25 to 1.75. A water stop and turnaround is located near mile 1.5. The final mile is on narrower, technical trail with roots and rocks; participants are asked to announce passes and yield when needed. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Logistics note: registration opens January 1, 2027 and online registration closes at midnight on Friday, April 10. There is no race day registration. Packet pick up is available the Friday before at Fleet Feet Cool Springs and on race day at Preservation Park. Parking is in the gravel lot at the main entrance and restrooms are a short walk from parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
