Distances
- 10K
- 5K
Course and logistics
Both races use trails at Preservation Park. The 10K follows the 5K course twice. The course is marked with orange or pink flags; clustered flags indicate turns. The first roughly 2 miles are grass or gravel jeep road with wide trails and a short out-and-back near mile 1.25-1.75 toward the Mars Dog Park on the Railroad Trail. Runners pass under a train track bridge to a turnaround near mile 1.5 where bib numbers are noted to verify the out-and-back. The route then climbs a short hill to the Depot Trail. The final mile is technical single-track with rocks and roots; runners are asked to look down, slow on technical sections, and announce passes by saying "on your left." The course finishes with a downhill section back to the pavilion; red barns are visible near the finish. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. Bathrooms are about 0.15 mile from the parking area.
