Event location and format

The event is held at Red Wing Recreation Area in Lagrangeville, New York. It runs over a weekend in late October or early November and offers multiple race distances on trails that use repeated loop laps.

Distances

  • 100k - 10 loops of 10 km each
  • 50K - 5 loops of 10 km each
  • 10K - single 10 km loop

Course and support

The 50K route accumulates about 5,000 ft of elevation gain. The 100k is described as having about 1,000 ft of gain per 10 km lap. The 10K route is described with about 1,000 ft of elevation gain. Organizers provide continuous aid and support throughout the event. The 50K runners are allowed to camp in the park the night before the race.

Top male and female finishers are awarded in each race. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal or other finisher award. The 50K and 100k are listed as UTMB Index races.
