Falcon Trail Fest is a weekend trail running event based at Falcon Ridge Ski Hill in Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba. The event runs single-day and two-day stage formats and uses local trails including the new onishkatoon gwaykaadiziwin connector at the east end of Falcon Lake.
Race formats and distances
- Full Flight 58K over two days (16K + 42K)
- Half Flight 36K over two days (8K + 28K)
- Classic Up & Down 8K and 16K on Saturday
- Loop the Lake 28K and 42K on Sunday
The Full Flight pairs a 16K Saturday loop with about 540 m of vertical and a 42K Sunday loop with about 592 m of vertical. The Half Flight pairs an 8K loop with about 270 m of vertical and a 28K out-and-back with about 620 m of vertical. Course terrain includes granite slabs, loamy forest trail, rooty technical sections, cedar groves and shoreline running on new singletrack.
Practical details and rules A Manitoba park pass is required for vehicles on race day. Participants must be 18 or older; those aged 15 to 18 need written parental permission; under 15 must run with a registered parent. Race directors may modify or cancel the event for weather, trail conditions or regulations. Bib transfers are allowed until August 25, 2026; registrations are nonrefundable. Only official crew may provide support and only at designated aid stations.
Included for entrants Personalized race bibs, custom performance shirts, finisher medals, stocked aid stations, a food voucher for Trails End Restaurant and points for Manitoba Association of Trail Runner members where applicable.
